The aim of this inspection will be to assess the effectiveness and efficiency of Police Scotland's response to Hate Crime.7 The inspection will examine in detail the accessibility and ease with which communities can record crime and incidents where hatred and intolerance features. HMICS will also review call handling procedures in place to identify and prioritise this form of crime.
