Our new Corporate Plan 2021-2024 sets out how we will fulfil our vision to be an effective professional scrutiny body which, through our reports and recommendations, supports the improvement of, and maintains public confidence in, policing across Scotland.  The plan is the product of extensive consultation and benchmarking to ensure that our approach incorporates good practice from elsewhere, and the latest developments in scrutiny methodologies.  The Corporate Plan explains the HMICS planning framework; our role and approach; how we will deliver our strategic objectives; how we will monitor delivery and impact; our resources, and governance. From April 2022, HMICS will commence a three year scrutiny programme, replacing the previous approach of producing annual plans. The priorities in the three year programme will be kept under continuous review.
